Hey guys.
Since this section, "Tutorials" is pretty empty and is lacking advanced tips, I thought I will write a guide about commanding to here.

As you know, by reading the basic tutorials, both teams, blufor and opfor have a commander. You should always have a player commander, since AI com won't do anything (because of a parameter turned off). The commander can be voted through the wf menu: Right down corner "Voting"

The commander will decide his team strategy. He will be moving the MHQ and deploying it in good places to build bases (LAV-25(HQ) on BLUFOR, and BTR90(HQ) on OPFOR)
Blufor MHQ, LAV-25(HQ):

Opfor MHQ, BTR-90(HQ):

This vehicle is the most importnant vehicle in your team. If you lose it, game is most likely lost, especially if you are in early stages in the game, and don't have cash/supplies for new one. If you happen to lose this vehicle. You can always repair it with 25k supplies and with the repair truck, assuming you saved the wreck coords, and placed a mark in the map. The alternate way to repair hq is to buy with 250 000 cash at the town center but, this can be only be done once due updates to our mission. The repair with money will drop your all towns SV to 10!
Buy with money:

Repair with supply:

The HQ can be deployed at any time, as long you have 500 supplies, and you are not near a town which you don't own [resistance, enemy town], or enemy base. You should not deploy it inside a building, if it's not 50% visible. Same with factories. Factories which you can build after you have deployed your hq must have a entrance. HQ, CC, AAR must not have a entrance, only the producing factories like B,LF,HF,AF.
Enought about HQ, lets jump into what you should do when the game starts. We will get back how to use it effiently in this guide, for sure! :)

As the game starts, a voting menu will popup.

This will choose the commander for the team. You can always change the commander from wf menu by voting, but usually the commander is same guy who was voted on the start, unless he disconnects, or have to go and so on...
If you were choosed to be commander, good! This guide is for assisting you doing it propeply.
Watch the position you started, and think about where you could build the base. Alternatively, you can drive a hq near town and capture it, 600m meters is town activation range. I'd not suggest drive closer, unless you have a terrain to use, so the enemy tanks or at infantry won't kill you and game won't end short. Try to drive it as close as you can to the camp. After capturing the town, you can always deploy hq inside it. Towns are good place for bases, due the autodefences given by the town, and usually the buildings, where you can place your factories behind them for extra cover for them, but they do not provide any stealth for your base, as enemy will most likely find it while capturing towns. Usually you want to bring hq close to the center, rather than building a corner base, and having most of the team yelling at you for it.
Here are some good places for Chernarus example (BEWARE, they are very popular too!)

There are many more places that where you can build, you can build whereever you want!
As you deploy hq first time on the game, be sure to build: Barracks, Light factory and a command center. Many new commanders will be building a service point, but it is a waste of supplies. We will only use it for rearming artillery, and service point for air vehicles later on. Always remember to place light factory(and heavy factory) near a road(if you have base near a road), and the building sign on the road, so the AI can use it efficiently, like this:

The sign on the factory will always tell where the units from it spawn, so make sure its not colliding with any object, for example, a another factory.
A building in progress base:

Wait for a minute or two:

Congrats! Now you have built a base. It's now ready to use and your team is happy. Let's wall these factories now!
Before you start walling, be sure to set up these hotkeys from options->controlls->custom controlls:

Action 15 is for duplicating last wall, or defence, which makes walling or placing defences way too easier.
Action 16 is for disabling autodefences, for example if you want to do cannon arty in your base (usually this will reveal base location for you enemies, so be careful!)
Action 17 is for deleting built walls. [commander only feature]
You can place what walls you ever want to, but please leave a gap in every producing factory, so it's enterable, and does not break rules!
This is how I placed the walls for this example base:

CC (aka Command Center):

You can always sell the factories from the economy menu, if needed:

I placed some "Wall (long tall)" for factories and HQ, and H-Barrier large for the cc, and one camo net in top of them. You can build also with congrete walls, but they are very costly and I'd not recommend using them for your first base!
Also notice that there is a maximium amount that you can place objects, which is currently set at 260.
I also placed some defences for our base:

Remember that there is a limited amount you can setup these! Also the enemy may use them against you, as they are not locked ;) They cost alot, atleast the TOW, METIS, AALAUNCHERS, Cannons. These defences gunners respawn aslong you have barracks up, not if they are destroyed!
When the CC goes up, you should start upgrading some stuff. For the start, Gear, barracks, Light factory, supply, and maybe ambu range are necessary. There is no a "good" route for the upgrade order. Upgrade what your team needs! I will be covering the general upgrade order later in the guide.

As the commander, you have extra ai to use. In the start, without barracks 1 upgrade you have 14, while the other players have only 4. Remember to use this. You can send ai to capture nearby towns for example to help your team.
The other usage for these ai is to send them around the map, acting as a spotters, reporting any enemy threats heading your way. Select the AI with F1-F12 buttons, click somewhere on the map to send it.

So. When to move the hq?
Never move hq when base is under attack, unless you are confident that you will survive. Usually a good time is move hq when most of the towns around you are captured, and you want to move hq to closer to enemy towns to capture them. Keep in mind to use information such: Where the enemies base(s) are, what towns they do own, where they are coming from; so you won't be suiciding the hq. The information from your team mates, and spotters may help you setting up a safe base. If you know that enemies base is at <somewhere>, you can setup a counter base near it. Use terrain so your base won't be spotted so fast, or the enemy tanks won't kill your base from their base. Remember to remove the walls from the HQ with the action button 17 we set earlier, before mobilizing the HQ.
An example for a counter base:

So the enemy has base at oldfields. I place the base behind the hill at altar, granting our team a uphill advantage, straight vision to their base, meanwhile they do not have vision to our base. Usually this situation, for example, will lead into altar bases victory.

Airlifting the hq.
So what you need? You need a helipad, Aircraft factory 1 upgrade, and airlift upgrade. The Aircraft factory is optional for blufor, since you can buy MV22 from the hangar (the yellow squares on the map: Balota, vybor airfield, krasnostav airfield, Rasman, Loy manara airfield) Remember to buy the chopper after you've done the airlift ugprade!
Airlifting your mhq is easy, you just need a chopper (preferably UH60 on blufor, MI8 on opfor) mobilize hq, grab it with chopper (using attach vehicle button)

TO BE ADDED:
- The upgrade "general" order, information what you should be upgrading. [In the works (will be released in a week or so), will be long due the list.]
- Adding artillery support for your team [Not started]

You can also suggest something and I will try to do it when I have time.

CHANGELOG:

Great work.

What about to add some info about arty support? F.e. several advices concerning: how to deploy it, when and where.  :)

Yes sure, thanks for suggestion.
I have the upgrade part soon ready. It will tell which vehicles you get each level first (to tell new players what each level of fac up brings to them, so they know what they should upgrade), then what to upgrade. Like -g3->-lf2->s1 (depends on the situation ;) )

edit: are there limit on words each post?

Seems like there is no any restriction about a limit of words. Did you face it before?

No, just thinking because some message boards do have it.
